Automotive Process

The process for doing automotive windows is a little more restrictive than for other items since a car is much more difficult and expensive to ship.

Altho it is not necessary to remove the glass from the car, and I don't recommend it - especially for larger windows, it is an option for those that live farther away. Just be sure that the glass is very carefully packaged for shipment. I cannot be responsible for damage incurred in shipping due to poor packageing.

I will travel up to 75 miles one way from my location to come to you for etching you auto windows.

I would prefer that you bring the car to me, however. I do have a very large garage to protect a car from the elements and vandalism while in my posession.

Typically, a large etching for a car window will take approximately 1 to 2 days once the design is approved by you. The more complex a design, the longer it takes, and can run as long as 5 days or more for a very complex design. Smaller designs can sometimes be completed in a matter of a couple hours.

Typically, when you contact me regarding having your car window(s) etched, I need to know what kind of car, which window(s) I will be working on, and what kind of design you want. I prefer to see a basic representation of the desired design to better offer you a reasonable price for the project.

After the project price and payment terms are agreed to, I require a downpayment before starting actual design work. I do not need the car for this stage of the process, altho I will require accurate measurements, or paper template(s) of the window(s) the design(s) will be placed on.

Once the final design is agreed on, I will need access to the car. The design will be printed out in the appropiate size, shown to you, and placed on the window for approval, or any last minute changes/additions that may be needed.

If you are satisfied with the design, and second payment is made as agreed on previously, I will begin the etching process.

Please note - once the etching process begins, only very minor changes can be made to the design!

When the etching process is complete, final payment is due as previously agreed on.
